Overview

The Overview is the landing page of the Monitoring area. It summarizes alert activity across the tenant — current load by severity, breakdown by resource group, and the most recent activity — and links into the rest of the section.

Accessing the Dashboard

Navigate to Monitoring > Overview. The page renders for every user; individual links into alert detail are gated by the alert-read permission and are otherwise hidden.

Alert Overview

The top section presents the platform-wide alert load through two widgets.

Active Alerts

A large count of currently active alerts (Open or Acknowledged — anything that has not yet been resolved). Inline badges break out the Critical and High counts when those severities are present. A status line reports how many alerts remain unacknowledged and how many distinct rules contributed to the open set — for example, 5 alerts are not acknowledged yet. and Alerts have been generated by 3 different alert rules.. When no incidents have ever opened, the line reads No incidents have been generated from existing alert rules.

A See all rules button at the corner of the card jumps to the Rules page.

Alert severity

A donut chart shows the distribution of active alerts across the four severity levels, with a percentage legend under a Severity levels label. The colour-to-severity mapping is documented on the Alerts page and is consistent across every widget in the section.

Alert Breakdown

Three cards — one per resource group — render side by side: Directors, Devices, Targets. Each card has the same layout:

ElementDescription
Total AlertsCount of every alert ever raised against resources in this group, regardless of status
Active AlertsCount currently Open or Acknowledged
DonutActive-to-total ratio visualization
Severity badgeReads, for example, "3 critical severity alerts" — the count and label reflect the highest severity currently open against the group. When the group has no active alerts the badge reads "No active alerts"
See-all linkSee all directors alerts, See all devices alerts, or See all targets alerts depending on the card. Opens the Alerts list pre-filtered by the card's resource group. Shown only when the group has active alerts

Latest Alerts

The lower section is a data table of recent alerts with the same toolbar filters as the main Alerts list (search, alert type, status, severity). The column set differs slightly from the main list: Created, Last Updated, Severity, Alert Rule name, Alert, Resource, and Status — there is no Resource Group column. Each row's menu offers See Alert Details, which opens the alert detail page; this row action is gated by the alert-read permission.

Empty State

When the tenant has no alerts at all:

  • The Active Alerts card shows 0 with the No incidents have been generated from existing alert rules. line in place of the rule-count text.
  • Each breakdown card shows the "No active alerts" badge and hides the See all link.
  • The severity chart renders an empty circle, with each severity listed in the legend without a percentage.
  • The Latest Alerts table shows the heading "No alerts found" and the body "There are no alerts at this time."
